The Virgin Bet Handicap Chase (14.10) at Doncaster on Thursday is the scene for a sporting nap of the day.
You should get a price about this one, in fact he is trading at 14/1 at the time of recording.
He goes by the name of Sackett and is trained by Neil King.
Granted, he's that price because he has as many letters as numbers against his name during his last six starts. However, he definitely ran his best race for some time when third in a soft ground marathon event at Fakenham last time.
He's had a good month and more to get over those exertions, which came in first-time blinkers. The headgear is retained here, while he also drops to a 5lb lower mark and has 5lb claimer Jack Andrews up. Neil King has had 1-5 in the last few days, so there are a few reasons to believe that this 11-year-old can make a successful drop back to 3m.
You can back him each-way if you prefer. So it's Sackett in the 14.10 at Doncaster on Thursday.
