For Saturday's nap we're heading to Ascot for a good handicap chase, for which eight have been declared. They're off at 14.55 and my pick here is the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Palmers Hill.
He runs in the JP McManus colours and he may end up going off favourite in what, on paper, looks a competitive event. He's a nine-year-old but he has only raced 10 times, so remains unexposed.
That was underlined by his career best at Ascot last month, when he stayed on strongly from the home turn to outstay the Paul Nicholls-trained Diego Du Charmil and win over 2m3f.
He goes back up to 2m5f for Saturday's race and for me that's a major positive. He has already won over the trip as a hurdler and I think he can defy an 8lb rise and see off his seven opponents, four of whom also won last time. The latter fact might ensure that even if he does go off favourite, his price won't crash.
So, to recap, the Saturday nap is Palmer's Hill, in the 14.55 at Ascot. Good luck!
