Here's a rundown on Pete's three picks from his local track Newcastle on a top night of racing in the Toon.

18.45 Newcastle - Storm Asset

Pete reckons this one will go down a storm in the Watch Racing Free Online At Coral Handicap and for good reason.

A winner last time out at Wolverhampton over Friday's seven furlong distance, Storm Asset hasn't finished out of the top three in any of his last five runs.

The experienced Franny Norton gets the ride and here are a couple of reasons why Storm Asset can make a splash at Newcastle.
"I think the form lines are just too good to ignore. Storm Asset won at Wolverhampton last time around by just over a length, a good win recently at Lingfield too. The most recent Newcastle run was back in December, finished second of nine.
Now admittedly, didn't quite have enough to get by that day but I do think this horse at this track, is going to start to look a lot more comfortable, particularly after those wins."

19.15 Newcastle - Atrafan

Our Pete is a fan of Atrafan, the Allan Brown runner who was on a four-timer before finishing fourth at Southwell last time around.
But his previous hat-trick can't be discounted, including a course and distance sprint win on January 21.

A fairly consistent six furlong performer, here is a snapshot of why Atrafan can take the Play 4 To Score At Betway Handicap.

"Now I think this horse at the time of recording is a crazy price…Atrafan has won course and distance four times here, been very comfortable in Class 6 action at Newcastle as well.
Had back to back wins at Newcastle a couple of months ago, didn't have a good run out at Southwell last time, finished fourth of ten and was just a bit one paced. Wasn't awful but just couldn't find anything to attack anyone in the race…

A four time previous course and distance winner, a recent hat-trick hero. I think that price is way too good."

19.45 Newcastle - Nigel Nott

Pete hasn't forgot Nigel Nott in the lucky last Play 4 To Win At Betway Handicap.

A Michael Appleby runner going the right way about another win, Nigel Nott has posted two seconds in succession.
Frederick Larson takes five pounds off and here is a snippet of why Nigel Nott can come out on top.
"Previous course and distance winner here back in January and yes a few sloppy or unimpressive performances in and around that. However, last time, was second behind a horse I really like called Be Proud and actually ran really well despite being very unfancied in that race…
I think the horse is way too big so it's going to be Nigel Nott each-way to complete the action."
