14.55 Aintree - Nuts Well

Planet Sport tipster Jonathan Doidge is happy to look away from the big guns in the Betway Bowl Chase in search of value and he feels he may have found it with Nuts Well.

Ann Hamilton's 11-year-old finished second in the Marsh Chase at Aintree in 2021 and obviously likes the course.
Here's a couple of reasons why Jonathan thinks that Nuts Well is a cracker.
"Now Protektorat is looking the early priced favourite, was third in the Gold Cup last time, I just wonder to some extent as to whether or not that was such a hard race it might have taken the edge off him before this. Dan Skelton doesn't seem to think so, but he's a skinny enough price."
"I'm going to take a speculative punt at a price here on Nuts Well who was second in a two and half mile Grade 1 race round this course last year. He's unexposed over this trip, I know he's an 11 -year-old but he could have a real good chance of running a big race and if one or two of the big guns don't fully fire then I think he's a useful each-way price."

14.55 Aintree - Protektorat

Pete Farries meanwhile is going with the class of Proketorat, who was third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup this year.

If carrying that form to Merseyside, Pete is confident that Protektorat can produce the goods for the Skeltons.

Harry Skelton gets the leg up as expected and here is a snippet of why Protektorat is a picture perfect pick at Aintree.

"This is an incredibly strong field but I'm going to go with Protektorat, won the opener at Aintree last year and ran very well and back in December was superb in the Many Clouds."

"This is a field jam packed with talent but Protektorat is such a good looking horse and obviously is beginning to look comfier and comfier. I think Aintree is the perfect kind of track for this horse too so Protektorat, at a very tasty price, is the way in for me."
