There wouldn't be too many Class 2 races on the Sedgefield calendar and it's a shame for the track that only five have been declared for the first prize of almost £10,000 in the WF-Racing Keeping You On Course Handicap Hurdle (15:17).
The Micky Hammond-trained Desaray Girl looks likely to go off favourite, in pursuit of a four-timer but there could be value in taking her on.

We'll do that with last year's winner of this race, Ashington. Brian Ellison's seven-year-old took the race on good ground last year, when 2lb higher. He gets those conditions again this time.

He's not been at his best since but showed signs that he was on his way back at Kelso last time and I am taking him to build on that and take this for a second time.
So, it's Ashington in the 15:17 at Sedgefield, on Thursday.
