With that mind, the following course stats might also help you make a profit, while the highly informative Warwick race card can be found in the Planet Sport Live Centre.

Selections:

Crossgalesfamegame (14.45 Warwick)

In Rem (15.20 Warwick)

Vinnie Dev (15.55 Warwick)

Course characteristics

Left-handed, with tight turns and short run-in. Circuit 1m5f. Front runners and those ridden prominently tend to do well on both the hurdle and chase courses.

Top trainers with runners

Dan Skelton, who traines in nearby Alcester, has sent out 59 winners from 279 runners (21%) here over the past five seasons.

He has five chances to boost that tally this afternoon: Lac De Constance (first-string on jockey booking) and Callisto's King, who both contest the 2m novices' hurdle (14.12), Dazzling Glory (14.45), Boss Man Fred (15.20) and Mount Tempest (17.05).

Top jockeys with rides

Harry Skelton is unsurprisingly the leading jockey here over the same period, with his 56 winners coming at a strike rate of 22% (249 rides). He has four rides for his brother with the exception of Callisto's King, the mount of Bridget Andrews.

14.45 Warwick - Crossgalesfamegame

A competitive 2m4f mares' novices' chase despite there being just five runners and it could pay to side with Crossgalesfamegame, who is a rare runner at the track for Berwickshire-based Sandy Thomson.

The eight-year-old is the only one of the quintet to have won over fences previously, that coming over this at Huntingdon in November, when finding most for pressure to go well clear late on on good ground that was quicker than ideal.
She proved no match for the now 142-rated Zambella on her next start at Doncaster, albeit that was still an improved effort in a race her conditional rider was unable to claim his 7lb allowance, and we can excuse her latest slightly-below par sixth on bottomless ground at Lingfield, where she reportedly lost a shoe.

Today's better ground - they're calling it good to soft at the time of writing - is going to be more to her liking and Ryan Mania, who has a fair 18% strike rate (56-312) for the stable, is taking the reigns for the first time.

Her rivals have all shown decent form in similar races without winning - the exception being chase debutant Dazzling Glory - but they clearly have their limitations (combined record of 0-13 over fences).

15.20 Warwick - In Rem

Jane Williams has 17 winners on the board this season, which have come at a fair strike rate of 20%, and In Rem has done his bit by contributing five of those.

The seven-year-old failed to shine in three starts for Gary Moore, but has taken off since switching stables and was completing a five-timer in cosy fashion over today's track and trip last month, which was following up another course and distance success in December.
He's gone up 33lb since starting his winning streak at Ffos Las in October but on the latest evidence he hasn't finished yet and this looks another excellent opportunity, with Chester Williams claiming 3lb off his back.
He faces some stiff opposition from the likes of Dan Skelton's Boss Man Fred, who bounced back to form last time, and last-time-out winner Guillemot, who was showing the benefit of a wind operation when going clear of his rivals at Ascot, but the selection is fancied to have their measure.

15.55 Warwick - Vinnie Dev

Ten stayers are set to go to post for this 3m5f handicap chase and none appeal more than the Noel Williams-trained and Tom O'Brien-ridden Vinnie Dev, who gets in here off joint bottom weight.
As a son of dour stayer Vinnie Roe, he was always going to need a proper stamina test over fences and so it proved over 3m5f at Lingfield last month, when appearing to relish the marathon trip for a keeping-on second behind easy winner Snuff Box.
As that was just his second start over fences, there should be more to come from him and the handicapper has left him on the same mark of 110, which he can surely win off.
He perhaps has most to fear from previous course and distance winner Volcano, who has also been shown some leniency by the handicapper - now rated 110 having been as high as 135 - although he does need to to put some poor efforts this season behind him.
