BENSON

JOHN P THOMPSON · CHAD SCHOFIELD · 3yo Colt

Made a professional start to his career when second to Angel Hair at Hawkesbury on soft ground, beaten just over a length after leading and holding his ground. He had won two trials before debuting and was near the top of betting, so the performance had market support behind it. Drawn to use that early speed again and looks a major winning hope.
