CIARON MAHER · JOHN ALLEN · 3yo Gelding

Makes his debut with a solid grounding, having won a Cranbourne trial after earlier trial experience. The NZ125/1,000 Ready to Run buy comes from the Ciaron Maher stable, whose debut record gives some confidence, and John Allen is a positive booking. The family points to horses that have got over ground, so 7f first time out looks suitable enough. Has to do it under race pressure but ticks a few boxes.
