DEFEND THE NATION

DION LUCIANI · PATRICK CARBERY · 2yo Gelding

Began slowly on debut at this track and finished fourth behind Albirex, beaten just over three lengths after settling rearward and failing to quicken when close enough at the turn. He was at generous odds and also finished behind Malastar, so the exposed form gives him ground to make up. Draws nicely. And can put himself into the finish.
