EL CORDOBES

C APPLEBY · FLAVIEN PRAT · 5yo Gelding

Back after a one-month break after finishing third in the G1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic at Belmont Park Turf, beaten just under three lengths by Minaret Station when safely held. His distance record is sound, with three wins and five placings from nine starts around 1m4f, and William Buick has a solid association with him. Still, he was beaten as a key market hope last time and must find more impact late.
