ENGLISHMAN

CHERIE DEVAUX · JOSE ORTIZ · 3yo Colt

Resumes after three months as the clear horse to beat, having won the G1 H Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes at Saratoga by just under four lengths as a very short odds-on favourite. He had also won the G1 Woody Stephens Stakes by just under six lengths, so the elite form is compelling. Four wins and one placing from five starts, plus a win at his only 6f attempt, make a powerful case.
