ENGULF

CLINTON MCDONALD · LUKE CARTWRIGHT · 3yo Filly

Made ground from the rear on debut at Ballarat after beginning slowly, finishing fifth over 5f and beaten just over two lengths by Skjaldmo. The move to 6f is untried, but first-time blinkers look a logical way to sharpen her, and the 330/1,000 yearling purchase is a half sister to Group 1 winner Shamal Wind. Untried at 6f, but she brings the best upside.
