SHAWN MATHRICK · LACHLAN KING · 3yo Gelding
Was safely held on debut at Mildura, finishing fifth and beaten just over eight lengths by Apocalypse after settling rearward and conceding a big start. He had trialled four times before that, so there was some base behind him, but the market allowed him to go around at long odds. Improvement required from a wide draw.
