ERIC FOSTER · FERNANDO DE LA CRUZ · 5yo Gelding
Made it consecutive wins when taking the G2 Woodford Stakes at this track by half a length, leading and holding off No Nay Hudson in a tight finish. He had also won a Listed race at Ellis Park Turf by a length, keeping finding with a bit in hand. The proven track-and-distance profile is valuable, though his lone Group 1 attempt was unplaced, so a minor-money result looks the safer expectation.
