MAD HOUSE

DAVID VANWINKLE · SONNY LEON · 4yo Gelding

Placed when resuming in the G2 Phoenix Stakes at this track, holding his position to the turn before being run down late by Nakatomi and finishing third, beaten just over a length. His previous run was a fourth in the G1 Bing Crosby Handicap at Del Mar, where Listenupshance had his measure. The 6f record is strong, but he will have to find another length or two against the best of these.
