PAUL SHAILER · JACE MCMURRAY · 6yo Gelding
Returns from a five-month break after a tough finish to last campaign, finishing 12th in the G3 Premier's Cup at this track and beaten over 17 lengths behind Alalcance. He had won a BM78 at Ipswich the run before, beating Captain Maverick despite covering ground, and has two wins at this venue. The concern is 6½f, where two previous attempts have produced no placing, so this looks a testing fresh assignment. Handy gelding but needs a lot further.
