ALAN SMITH · GIAAN O'DONNELL · 5yo Gelding

Returns from a lengthy ten-month lay-off after being beaten two and a half lengths as favourite in a CG Class 3 at Ascot, where he raced keenly and did not quite finish it off. His start prior was a controlled Class 1 win over Rock Dee Jay at Ascot, and two wins and two places from six starts is a strong base. The 6f32yards record is the query, but the claim helps and his best figures make him the one to beat.
