JAMES CRAWFORD · CALLAN MURRAY · 5yo Gelding

Returns from a three-month break after ending last campaign with a nose second over 5f at Vaal as the firming odds-on favourite. That followed a sound third in BM84 grade at Turffontein Standside, so his short-course form was holding together. He is two wins and two places from four starts at this track and distance, and stall one suits his natural speed, but fresh sharpness will decide whether he is more than a minor chance.
