WITCH HAZEL

LUCINDA WOODRUFF · CALLAN MURRAY · 3yo Gelding

Returns from a two-month freshening after finishing fifth in a BM98 over 6¼f at this track, beaten just over two lengths as a heavily backed favourite. He had been third at Kenilworth the start prior, beaten just under a length after being crunched into a short odds-on quote. The class drop and inside draw help, but 1m is new territory, so he appeals more as an each-way hope than a clear winning threat.
