DEEP FOCUS

PAUL SHAILER · ANDREW MALLYON · 5yo Gelding

Failed to quicken when resuming at Ipswich when sixth in a 3yo+ Class 1, beaten just under six lengths as favourite on soft ground, and this is harder than that provincial assignment. The previous run at Doomben also saw him settle rearward and lack a change of gear when seventh behind Simply Amazing. Needs the blinkers to spark sharp improvement.
