DAVID SMITH · GEMMA TAYLOR · 6yo Gelding
Dominant at Leonora last start, sent out favourite and beating The Candy Kid by just over five lengths after travelling strongly and putting the race away before the turn. That followed a solid third in NMW 1yograde at Kalgoorlie, where he fought hard after racing keenly. The 7lb claim helps with the big weight, and he sets the standard.
